Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sonder Healthcare. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing standards of care for speech language pathology services and ensuring adherence to all conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech and language function, and identify equipment needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans of care to improve patients' speech and language function.
  • Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as necessary.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings to ensure coordinated care.
  • Prepare and submit notes according to organizational policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as necessary.
  • Instruct patients, family/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in treatment regimes as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aides in procedures related to speech-language therapy plans of care.
  • Perform other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech-language pathology services.
Requirements
  • Possess a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meet one of the following requirements:
  • Be licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State of CA.
  • Have one year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
  • Be a licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured according to organizational requirements.
