Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sonder Healthcare. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing standards of care for speech language pathology services and ensuring adherence to all conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care to improve the patient's function.
  • Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as indicated.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Prepare and submit notes per organization policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate.
  • Instruct patients, family/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in the patient's treatment regime as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aides in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy plan of care.
Requirements
  • Possesses a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meets either of the following requirements:
    • Is licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State of CA,
    • (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.

Salary: $50.00 - $78.00 per hour, DOE
