Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sonder Healthcare. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing standards of care for speech language pathology services and ensuring adherence to all conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care to improve the patient's function.
- Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment.
- Recommend communication devices and aids as indicated.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Prepare and submit notes per organization policy.
- Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
- Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate.
- Instruct patients, family/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in the patient's treatment regime as indicated.
- May supervise home health aides in procedures directly related to the speech-language therapy plan of care.
- Possesses a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meets either of the following requirements:
- Is licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State of CA,
- (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
