- Develop and refine security policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of systems, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies.
- Work alongside IT and security teams to enhance the company's security infrastructure and incident response capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance during investigations and resolutions of security breaches.
- Lead the creation and delivery of security awareness training programs for staff.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
- Generate regular cybersecurity status reports for IT management.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Practical, hands-on experience is highly valued.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security administration or a related role.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in threat intelligence and data analysis from various cybersecurity platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, IPS, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and experience in securing cloud environments.
- Ability to create and maintain documentation for security systems, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages for task automation and data analysis.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to cybersecurity.
- Strong incident response and crisis management skills.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and staying current with cybersecurity trends.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess the costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding junior team members.
