Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment, positioning patients, and securing support devices to perform high-quality imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine appropriate radiological techniques and positions for patients using immobilization and support devices.
  • Operate radiology equipment safely and effectively.
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
  • Determine radiographic techniques based on anatomy and patient condition to obtain quality films for radiologists.
  • Secure patient history and ensure accurate examination requisitions.
  • Adhere to safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  • Perform clerical duties, including maintaining patient records, daily statistics, and answering telephones.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and provide excellent care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including quality control tasks and preparation of contrast media.
Requirements
  • IDNS license and graduation from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • Knowledge of Health Information System and basic knowledge of radiology equipment.
  • CPR certification and licensure by IDNS.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.

This role requires the ability to work independently, make professional decisions, and function with minimal assistance. The successful candidate will be able to lift and move patients, work in stressful conditions, and be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
