Job Description:

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team in Middletown, RI. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will support the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Imaging - In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create electrical schematics, diagrams, and requirements for Technical Data Packages (TDP). Prototype and debug hardware designs in a lab environment.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform technical analysis of hardware systems and subsystems. Develop system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within an overall system.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Develop test plans, test readiness evaluations, hardware installation, and troubleshooting. Review, analyze, and provide feedback for electrical schematics, diagrams, and requirements for TDP.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other mechanical and systems engineers to deliver fully functional solutions. Conduct and participate in cross-disciplinary design reviews. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Navy, Government Civilians, OEM, and sub-contractors.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with electrical CAD design software, such as Altium, OrCAD, and LTSpice. Familiarity with lab equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization. Ability to interpret customer goals and tasking. Ability to work independently and/or within a multi-disciplinary team. Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills, with an unwavering attention to detail.
Additional Skills of Interest:
  • 3-5 years' experience with submarine systems.
  • Experience with PCB layout and design.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
  • General knowledge of mechanical CAD design software, such as SolidWorks 2021.
