Job Summary

Pacific Trailer Repair Services is seeking a skilled Trailer Chassis Mechanic to join our team at our Container Storage Facility in Oakland, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and analyzing malfunctions, completing repairs, and efficiently rebuilding chassis and trailer parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and analyze malfunctions to identify root causes and develop effective repair plans.
  • Complete repairs and rebuilds of chassis and trailer parts, ensuring high-quality results and meeting safety standards.
  • Perform daily inspections of trailers, containers, and chassis to ensure compliance with Federal Highway Administration standards.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble landing gears, wheel axles, and brakes, including welding of broken parts.
  • Ensure the electrical system is running efficiently and accurately complete work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, including background and drug tests.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with welding.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Federal Highway inspection Certificate and DOT certification in FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes.
