Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Baker Assistant to join our team at Nothing Bundt Cakes. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting our Bakers in the preparation and production of high-quality cakes, ensuring that every product meets our strict standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Bakers in the preparation of raw ingredients and equipment for baking
  • Place cake pans in a hot oven and monitor the baking process
  • Assist with daily baking and production flow, ensuring that all products are packaged, labeled, and stored according to our standards
  • Clean and sanitize the workstation, ensuring that all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
Requirements
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment, working adjacent to a high-heat source
  • Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards
  • Diligence, organization, and self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment
  • Ability to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands
