Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate radiologic/mammographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images under the direction of a Radiologist.

You will perform routine diagnostic and interventional breast procedures according to established standards and practices.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiology mammography equipment to produce diagnostic images of specific body areas as ordered for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum, working with them to perform exams and evaluate images.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any equipment problems or malfunctions to the manager or lead technologist in a timely fashion.
  • Enter proper exam coding, complete exams in a timely fashion, and comply with all MQSA and ACR standards for mammography.
  • Accurately utilize the PACS system to make images available to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Monitor exposure to pregnant patients, create a minimum number of exceptions, and prepare patients using proper positioning and instructions.
  • Quality review of images should fall within departmental SOP and MQSA guidelines, providing clear and concise instructions to patients before beginning an exam.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Technical Diploma or Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, New York State license, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, and Advanced Certification in Mammography, with years of experience in Radiologic Technology. You should also possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, as well as basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and full knowledge of radiology and Breast Imaging equipment and Radiation physics.

Preferred Qualifications:
