Position Details:
Full-Time Role (40 hours per week)
Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The Cytology Specialist, under the guidance of the Cytopathology Supervisor of Technical Operations, meticulously analyzes human cellular specimens from multiple anatomical sites in accordance with established departmental protocols; takes into account the patient's clinical history, identifies significant findings, conducts quality assurance checks, and provides instruction on cytopathologic techniques to cytotechnology students, residents, fellows, and visitors. Additionally, the specialist participates in various research initiatives.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required, along with graduation from an accredited cytotechnology program as stipulated by CLIA regulations. Coursework in molecular techniques is highly advantageous.

Licensure and Ongoing Training:
Effective January 1st, 2022, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination status as part of the occupational health assessment. Exceptions may be made for individuals with religious beliefs or medical conditions, following appropriate protocols.
