Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at A&A Ready Mixed Concrete. As a Maintenance Truck Tech III, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty tractors and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty tractors and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Replace, install, and service brake systems, cab and sheet metal components, engine accessories, HVAC systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Inspect and identify vehicle conditions on different types of equipment
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle system engine failure and vehicle system transmission & gear box failure
  • Follow manufacture service and troubleshooting procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience
  • 4+ years of experience working on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in maintenance repair
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • 3+ years of experience welding

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

The employee is regularly exposed to wet or slippery ground conditions.

Employees must wear the required personal protective equipment; up to and including safety vest, hard hat, ear protection, gloves, and safety glasses.

Able to climb height up to 10 feet.
