Produce Manager Job Summary

Restaurant Depot is seeking a highly skilled Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of our produce department. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all available product is out for sale and maintained with the strictest freshness policies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and train team members, build relationships with customers, and utilize skills of team members most appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize losses and maximize sales.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive sales goals and develop relationships with customers.
  • Ensure that all produce is properly stored, rotated, and labeled to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including cycle counts and physical inventories.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or produce management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and train team members.
  • Ability to manage warehouse operations effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
