As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems and their components in safe operating condition, providing information on proper operation, modifying/installing electrical services, and determining the most efficient installation of additional systems.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze electrical drawings to identify the location of new and existing electrical systems and determine the efficient installation of additional systems.
- Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects/workorders efficiently.
- Install electrical systems, including underground electrical conduit, fire alarms, switchboards, audio visual alarms, etc., to maintain them in safe operating condition.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to ensure efficient delivery of services to the District.
- Order equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of required items.
- Prepare documentation to provide written support and/or convey information.
- Repair various items, systems, and/or components to ensure they are available and in safe working condition.
- Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Transport various items to ensure availability of materials required at the job site.
- Assist other personnel to support them in the completion of their work activities.
The Electrical Systems Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job requires 10% sitting, 30% walking, and 60% standing.
