Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Preschool Teacher at Mills College at Northeastern University. This is a temporary position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a progressive model of education, supporting the development of child and adult learning through teacher-led inquiry.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum linked to the Early Childhood Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum frameworks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to study and assess children's learning, continuously improving instruction at the school and contributing to the knowledge base of teaching.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Use academic and social emotional curriculum to support, supervise, and ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and other members of the Children's School staff, including home-school visits, parent/teacher conferences, newsletters, and weekly staff meetings.
- Two or more years recent successful classroom teaching experience.
- 12 Early Childhood/Child Development Education Units.
- Knowledge of a Constructivist, Experiential model of education.
- Commitment to an inclusive, culturally sustaining education model.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to exhibit strong service orientation for all levels of College constituencies and members of the public.
- Ability to promote and sustain effective working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.
This position is estimated to pay approximately $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
