Production Manager

Kingspan Light + Air is a leading innovator of high-performance daylighting and ventilation solutions for building envelopes. Our mission is to optimize the role of natural light and air in building design and occupant well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure manufacturing of aluminum framing and glazing products meets quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery expectations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery and report any issues or concerns.
  • Accurately record floor changes and corrections on shop orders.
  • Maintain shipping schedules and communicate changes to relevant personnel.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to eliminate waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Anticipate and resolve team breakdowns resulting from change.
  • Resolve problems by analyzing issues logically and comprehensively.
  • Participate in cross-training activities with the framing and glazing fabrication team.
  • Oversee proper packaging and crating of framing and glazing.
  • Communicate with department employees on a daily basis and follow up on open issues.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Issue timely disciplinary action in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate processes and materials to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and safety objectives.
  • Provide recommendations and conduct yearly reviews of direct reports.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of progression in a production supervision role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and experience in safely operating saws, notching, drilling, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to use and understand basic measuring instruments.
  • Ability to count accurately and record production data.
  • Ability to safely operate an electric or propane-powered sit-down forklift and overhead crane.
  • Experience working with integrated manufacturing software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
