Job Summary:

South Bend Community School is seeking a highly qualified Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching general science and chemistry to students in grades 5-12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the Indiana Department of Education Science Standards
  • Provide a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Requirements:

  • Science License or Science Endorsement 5-12
  • Highly qualified
  • Applicants must not have been evaluated as ineffective or recommended for probation assistance on their most recent evaluation
