The Role of an HCA Nurse

Cardiac Telemetry nurses evaluate acute changes in patient conditions. They monitor and interpret heart rhythms, analyze ECGs, recognize arrhythmias, and respond to emergencies. These professionals possess advanced critical thinking abilities, extensive clinical knowledge, and the capacity to remain composed under pressure. Our Cardiac Telemetry unit specializes in caring for patients recovering from various cardiac procedures.

Patient Profiles
- Acute and chronic heart failure
- Electrophysiology procedures (pacemaker, ablation)
- Structural heart interventions (mitral clip, TAVR, TMVR, watchman, valve angioplasty)
- Post-operative care for open heart surgery patients
- Post-cardiac catheterization recovery

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- BLS certification required upon hire and maintained
- ACLS certification required within six months
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
