The Construction Technology (CT) Expert is tasked with ensuring the effective adoption, support, and upkeep of specific construction technology software and hardware within the organization. This role requires a collaborative approach with users, learning and development teams, and other support roles to maximize the organization's investment in Construction Technology.
Experience/Training:
- 3+ years of experience in the construction sector
- Demonstrated experience with construction industry workflows, best practices, software, and hardware
- Expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining construction enterprise applications
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Outstanding communication skills, particularly in a customer service context
- High ethical standards and confidentiality
- Adept at conveying complex technical information to non-technical users
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Thorough understanding of technical environments
- Enthusiastic about technology and innovation
- Configure, maintain, implement, and support software and hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Team to ensure seamless software integrations.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
- Work alongside the Security team to ensure software and hardware comply with company security standards.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and customize applications accordingly.
- Provide advanced technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues in collaboration with internal and vendor technical support.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to promote knowledge sharing and improve support efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in application administration to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify, research, and implement solutions to enhance productivity, ensure accuracy, and reduce costs.
- Spot opportunities that align with business initiatives, including process automation.
- Facilitate the adoption of software and hardware by collaborating with the Learning and Development team and serving as a subject matter expert to ensure relevant and current training.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key vendor contacts.
