Fabrication Specialist

Nucor Harris Rebar is a leading manufacturer of reinforcing steel bars, and we're seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality steel products that meet our customers' needs.

As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using a variety of equipment and machinery to produce high-quality products.

• Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths
• Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape
• Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped
• Operate a Fabmatic machine that cuts and bends reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner
• Assist other employees in any of the above tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a noisy, dusty, hot, or cold environment
• Ability to work overtime when required and any shift
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
