Job Summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a PRN Health Fairs and Flu Shots Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for administering flu vaccines during employee flu fair events and providing care within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer flu vaccines to employees during health fairs and flu shot events
  • Provide care to patients within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act
  • Assist with setup and teardown of health fair event sites
  • Ensure proper consent forms are completed prior to flu vaccine administration
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Current LPN license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires the ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent will work in a patient care area and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue.
