Job Title: Day Shift Mobile Equipment Mechanic I

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Day Shift Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team at our Arena sand and gravel plant in Garwood, TX.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Equipment Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy equipment fleet. The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, hydraulic system troubleshooting, and electrical system repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, using hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including completion of work orders and maintenance reports.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
  • 1-4 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or vocational training.
  • Knowledge of CAT and Komatsu heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend maintenance manuals.
  • Basic hand and air tools required for heavy duty truck repair.
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety orders.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to heavy equipment, tools, and materials. The ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures is required.
