As a Healthcare Assistant in our Health Care Services team, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Additionally, you will monitor and record vital signs, assist with medical procedures, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential in maintaining a comfortable environment for our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and location.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with issues related to death and dying
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to provide specialized care to the terminally ill
- Empathy for the needs of individuals who are ill, injured, frail, or impaired
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our patients
Skills:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will utilize your active CNA certification and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to our patients. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds will be essential in assisting patients with daily living activities and medical procedures. Additionally, your experience working in a healthcare setting and familiarity with EMR systems will be beneficial in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
