Job Summary

The Network Analyst position at Fresno State is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. As a key member of the Technology Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the university's network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data transmission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architecture to meet campus requirements
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor and analyze network performance to identify and resolve issues
  • Develop and implement network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network compatibility and integration with other systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in network administration and design
  • Proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco certification
  • Knowledge of video over IP, streaming video, and broadcast standards
  • Experience with network management and security tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
