Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Individualized Education Plans: Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide one-on-one and small group therapy sessions to students.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
- Parent Support: Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to promote their child's communication development.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Oregon licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification: Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
