Job Overview

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting near Gresham, Oregon. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in assessing and diagnosing speech and language disorders in students, developing and implementing individualized education plans, and providing direct therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students, utilizing evidence-based practices and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students' unique communication needs, in collaboration with teachers and other school staff.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote effective communication.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of educational plans and ensuring a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education, applying this knowledge to inform your practice and improve student outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Oregon licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
