Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Manager to enhance our Finance team at our Corporate Office. This full-time role is essential for managing financial analysis and administrative functions within a designated Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support management in strategic decision-making and financial initiatives.
  • Identify and monitor business trends, providing insights on variances over time.
  • Oversee the financial and administrative operations of the Business Unit, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of financial health.
  • Collaborate with project managers to manage financial aspects of construction processes, including contracts and change orders.
  • Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls.

Financial Management Duties:

  • Define and coordinate the timeline for financial reporting with the Corporate Controller.
  • Prepare and analyze the Business Unit's budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Monitor overhead and manpower costs, as well as capital expenditure budgets.

Project Management Support:

  • Ensure effective project management within the ERP system.
  • Assist Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, particularly during estimate-to-completion reviews.
  • Notify relevant stakeholders of any project variations promptly.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering, along with four years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in the industrial construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of project control principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, with a moderate noise level typical of a general office environment.
