About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting routine and complex laboratory examinations in a high-complexity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret laboratory examinations, including routine and complex tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Assess and verify the validity of laboratory results before releasing them to healthcare providers.
- Develop and write new laboratory procedures and techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide direction and training to laboratory staff, including phlebotomists and laboratory receptionists.
- Collaborate with laboratory managers, assistant managers, and department supervisors to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Successful completion of a clinical internship (NAACLS accredited or equivalent).
- MT(ASCP) or other nationally recognized registry certification.
- Current Montana State CLS Certification.
- Knowledge of general laboratory processes and procedures, including automated and manual methods.
- Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control regulations.
