Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Direct and develop a team of respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and service.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure a safe and effective working environment, monitor and revise the department safety plan, and maintain staff credentials and competencies.
- Service Excellence: Drive department service standards and activities to impact patient satisfaction, and serve as a liaison between Respiratory Care Services and hospital administration.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage department operational and capital budgets, and optimize productivity and resource efficiency.
- Professional Development: Identify and implement innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes, and lead unit projects and committees.
- Education: Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience: Six years of leadership experience in respiratory care or a related field.
- Certifications: Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) and licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board (TMB-RCP).
