We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Family Practice) to join our team at the Department of Defense. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality patient care, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, youth, and adults.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and diagnoses.
- Perform emergency services and crisis intervention as needed, including life-saving procedures.
- Promote preventative and health maintenance care through education and counseling.
- Participate in Quality Assurance functions, performance improvement programs, and peer review programs.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in Family Medicine and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years.
This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
