Position Overview: Two Six Technologies is on the lookout for a Lead Security Vulnerability Analyst to enhance our dynamic team. This role is centered around performing reverse engineering on diverse embedded systems, pinpointing security flaws, and crafting proof of concept capabilities to bolster national security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute thorough reverse engineering on a range of embedded systems.
  • Conduct both static and dynamic analyses to uncover security vulnerabilities.
  • Create proof of concept capabilities to demonstrate research advancements.
  • Document research outcomes to enrich the team's comprehension of embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to provide effective solutions to our clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with *nix operating systems.
  • Understanding of standard network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or HTTP.
  • Expertise in at least one modern debugger, including GDB or WinDBG.
  • Proficiency in at least one contemporary decompiler, such as Ghidra, IDA, or Binary Ninja.
  • Skilled in at least one native programming language, such as C or C++.
  • Competence in at least one scripting language, such as Python.
  • Knowledge of at least one assembly language, such as x86 or ARM.
  • Possession of an active US Security clearance at the Top Secret level, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a Polygraph clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting vulnerability research on embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with overcoming modern mitigations like ASLR, DEP, and Stack Canaries.
  • Knowledge of cellular standards, including 4G or 5G.
  • Understanding of low bandwidth communication methods such as RS485, RS232, and CAN.
  • Familiarity with communication technologies like Wifi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active US Security clearance at the Top Secret level, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a Polygraph clearance.
