Job Overview:

The Banking and Finance Specialist is an essential role at Southern States Bank, requiring a strong understanding of banking products and services, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This position involves delivering exceptional customer service, promoting the bank's services, and maintaining accurate transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized assistance to customers, answering questions and addressing concerns related to banking products and services.
  • Perform a range of transactions, including cashing checks, receiving deposits, transferring funds, and preparing official checks.
  • Assist and support colleagues in meeting customer needs and resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all dual control procedures required to maintain internal controls.
  • Process night deposit bags and customer change orders, and handle vault teller responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent required; 3+ years of experience as a Teller at Southern States Bank or equivalent experience with another organization is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking products and services, as well as ability to use the bank's operating system.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience. Salary may vary depending on qualifications and performance.
