Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Interpath Laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of clinical laboratory operations, including point of patient reception, specimen collection, specimen processing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.
  • Technical responsibilities: Retrieving blood samples and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures.
  • Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
  • Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
  • Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program and/or professional phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Pay and Schedule:

Pay: $18.98 - $25.69 Per Hour DOE.

Schedule: Part-time; Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Quarterly Saturday Rotations.
