Job SummaryThe Clinical Technician provides direct patient care under the direction of a nurse and performs other tasks necessary for unit operations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care under the direction of a nurse, including performing tasks such as vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assists with patient transfers, transports, and positioning.
- Responds to patient requests and communicates with the care team as needed.
- Participates in unit operations, including maintaining a clean and safe environment, restocking supplies, and performing other tasks as assigned.
- Collaborates with the care team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Must satisfy one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current State of Florida licensure, RN student with completed nursing fundamentals or caring scholar course, Graduate of an RN program with pending authorization to test for the NCLEX, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with current valid Florida licensure and work experience.
