Position Overview: We are in search of an energetic and meticulous Art Project Coordinator to become a part of our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing projects for our hospitality and commercial clientele from start to finish. This role encompasses art curation, acquisition, financial management, and negotiation to guarantee smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight:
- Manage and supervise various projects for hospitality and commercial clients.
- Create and uphold project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are achieved.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet project goals.
- Art Curation:
- Engage with clients to comprehend their vision and aesthetic preferences.
- Curate art collections that resonate with client requirements and project specifications.
- Research to discover emerging artists and trends within the art industry.
- Acquisition:
- Identify and acquire artworks, ensuring they fulfill quality and budgetary standards.
- Build and sustain relationships with artists, galleries, and suppliers.
- Oversee the logistics of art acquisition, including transportation and installation.
- Financial Management:
- Formulate and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Track project expenditures and provide regular financial updates to clients and senior management.
- Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with artists, galleries, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and address any disputes that may arise.
- Represent the best interests of Tappan and our clients in all negotiations.
- Project Finalization:
- Oversee the concluding phases of project execution, including installation and client handover.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- Conduct post-project assessments to identify areas for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably within the art or hospitality sectors.
- Strong understanding of art curation and acquisition processes.
- Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
