About the Job Description

The Perishable Retail Buyer Specialist will be responsible for managing the purchasing and inventory process for perishable products. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchasing and inventory process for perishable products.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure high standards of product quality and freshness.
  • Provide training and support to staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the grocery field, preferably within a natural foods grocery store.
  • 1+ years of experience in buying or merchandising with a focus on perishable products.
  • Demonstrated success in building vendor relationships and securing deals.
  • Team-oriented with a strong focus on customer service.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(K) retirement plan, vacation time, sick leave, flexible schedules, and store discounts.
