About the Role

HCA Houston Healthcare at Home is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team as a PRN Home Health professional. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
  • Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, participating in patient placement and the development of the total plan of care.
  • Provide purposeful and skilled interaction care, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physician's plan of care.
  • Observe and report patient's reaction to treatment and changes in patient's condition.
  • Communicate pertinent payor needs/requirements to physician, treatment team, patient and patient's family in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • State license in practicing state.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of valid automobile liability insurance.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
