We are currently seeking a seasoned Security Program Management Officer (SPMO) to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This pivotal role will support various programs and clients within our Security Division. The SPMO will play a critical role in developing security strategies, evaluating relevant guidelines, and implementing established protocols across multiple security domains, including Personnel Security, Information Security, Physical Security, and Program Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough security assessments for prospective employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of personnel security documentation and update relevant government databases.
- Facilitate security orientation sessions and debriefings for personnel.
- Deliver Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) presentations.
- Process foreign travel requests and conduct necessary briefings.
- Maintain comprehensive personnel records.
- Investigate security breaches and prepare detailed reports, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Draft Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with client guidelines for asset management.
- Prepare Systems Security Plans (SSPs) and Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) as per client specifications.
- Assist in document control and management of program assets.
- Handle visit authorizations and personnel access requests.
- Support meeting preparations, employee and visitor badging, and general facility management tasks.
- Contribute to the management of classified information systems.
- Conduct regular audits of information systems to ensure compliance with security controls.
- Assist in the decommissioning of systems as needed.
- Support proposal development initiatives.
- Act as the COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO).
- Prepare DD-254 forms.
- Perform administrative and office-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related security regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills to provide informed security recommendations and decisions.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS//SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Security+ CE certification is preferred.
- Experience with security databases such as TALON/SCT and Defense Information Security System (DISS).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or a valid exemption is necessary for employment.
