Vast is a pioneering company dedicated to advancing space exploration and habitation. Our mission is to create a sustainable presence in space, and we're seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team.

Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Security Officer to support our Hawthorne, CA site. As a key member of our security team, you'll work closely with the Principle Security Officer to develop and implement security procedures for our test site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist guests with the ENVOY check-in process
  • Verify ID and POC of visitors
  • Issue visitor/temp employee badges
  • Patrol all buildings and sites
  • Observe and report suspicious activity
  • Document incidents and report to Security Management
  • Escort vendors on/off site as requested
  • Assist other departments as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • CA BSIS Guard card
  • 2+ years of professional experience in security operations in an industrial environment
Preferred Skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Articulate and polite communication
  • Ability to de-escalate situations
  • BSIS or other security training
  • Ability to work independently
