We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter to join our team at AMR. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency fire alarms, performing fire suppression duties, and providing medical services to those in need.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency fire alarms and perform fire suppression duties, including extinguishing structural, residential, commercial, industrial, chemical, petroleum, vehicle, aircraft, and wildland fires.
- Operate various pieces of fire equipment and gear, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), personal protective equipment, ladders, portapower units, hammers, chain saws, and portable lights.
- Provide medical services, including emergency medical technician (EMT) duties, such as administering first aid, providing oxygen, and transporting patients to medical facilities.
- Participate in training sessions, including live fire drills, performance evaluation drills, and ongoing skills maintenance, to ensure proficiency in firefighting and medical procedures.
- Review paperwork for accuracy and correct process, and participate in scheduled and unscheduled onsite compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- State issued or International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (ProBoard) certifications as a minimum: Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials-Operations.
- State issued or National Registered EMT-Basic or EMT-Paramedic certification.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Rural/Metro policy.
- High School diploma or GED required.

Work is performed primarily in an indoor office environment; Firefighting, Medical Services and Rescue duties may be performed in or outdoors in potentially adverse conditions, such as, but not limited to: extreme heat, cold, wet, humid, and loud situations.
