Job Summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to serve as Regional Racial Equity Enhancement Administrator. This role will play a critical part in promoting equity and inclusion within the organization and ensuring that our services are accessible and effective for all individuals, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Racial Equity Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to address racial disparities and inequities within the organization and in the communities we serve.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including community organizations, advocacy groups, and government agencies, to identify and address systemic barriers to equity.
  • Conduct Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to assess racial disparities and inequities, and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and Implement Policies: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote equity and inclusion.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on equity and inclusion best practices, and ensure that all employees understand their role in promoting a culture of equity.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in a related field, such as social work, public policy, or education.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in a related field, including experience in program development, policy analysis, and community engagement.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
