Position Overview

Role Summary: This role encompasses additional compensation for providing services across various locations.

This position is dedicated to delivering speech-language pathology services to a diverse pediatric demographic, ranging from infants to young adults. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions tailored to the patient's speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, feeding, and swallowing needs, considering their age and developmental stage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conducts evaluations and administers treatment for patients with various conditions related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, feeding, and swallowing. Demonstrates expertise in child development and applies appropriate therapeutic strategies tailored to each child's age and abilities, ensuring a family-centered approach. Develops individualized treatment plans with clear, functional, and measurable objectives, ensuring collaboration with families.
  2. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, contributing to quality management initiatives.
  3. Facilitates coordination and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams within the healthcare setting and community resources to enhance the effectiveness of care plans. Engages in discharge planning, care conferences, educational sessions for patients and families, and outpatient follow-ups.
  4. Fosters professional relationships within the department, hospital, and community, effectively communicating with physicians, families, and staff. Participates in training programs and provides supervision and guidance to rehabilitation technicians and students, contributing to their performance assessments.
  5. Performs additional duties as assigned.
