Job Summary:

This is a full-time position responsible for safely operating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste
  • Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires
  • Load and unload trash at designated facilities using hydraulic hand controls
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

This position requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds. The work environment involves some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, and requires following basic safety precautions.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
