Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the procurement of assigned stock items.
  • Participate in daily inventory review meetings.
  • Communicate updates regarding new and discontinued products, as well as changes in packaging and technology.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to analyze market trends and competitive activities, aiding in the formulation of sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate cost records in AS400 for stock and fillet products.
  • Design and implement seasonal and annual merchandising initiatives.
  • Work with sales management to create weekly sales forecasts and ensure inventory levels meet demand.
  • Utilize supplier lead times effectively to enhance market positioning.
  • Ensure compliance of transport carriers with delivery schedules and warehouse receiving protocols.
  • Prepare purchase orders for daily receiving and provide necessary transportation instructions.
  • Assist sales personnel in sourcing new products as needed.
  • Utilize the Product Request Form for procurement processes.
  • Monitor freight and confirm purchase orders for incoming shipments.
  • Cross-train with inventory control and other buyers to ensure operational continuity.
  • Handle incoming calls and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
