Job Title: Certified Hand Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and caring Certified Hand Therapist to join our team at South Florida Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. As a Certified Hand Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating patients with hand and wrist injuries or conditions.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, including patient history and objective findings, to design programs tailored to individual patient needs
* Review physician orders and office notes, diagnostic testing results, etc. to establish an appropriate treatment plan based on clinical evaluation findings
* Provide discharge planning and instruction to patients and family members
* Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
* Certified Hand Therapist preferred; OT must be willing to obtain CHT certification
* Current Florida licensure
* Minimum five (5) years experience required in hand, wrist, and shoulder rehabilitation, customized splinting for post-op care
* Basic computer skills required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Physical Demands:
* Standing and walking for extended periods of time
* Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs
* Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
