About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Overman Concrete, Inc., you will be responsible for leading the concrete flatwork division, overseeing project planning and execution, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards. Your expertise in concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing processes will be essential in driving quality and efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities and Expectations

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership to the concrete flatwork division.
  • Overseeing project management, including planning, execution, and quality control.
  • Ensuring adherence to company and industry safety standards.
  • Developing and enforcing quality standards and processes.
  • Managing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitoring project budgets, expenses, and revenue targets.
  • Building and managing a high-performing concrete operations team.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 7 years in a management role.
  • Proven track record in operations management or project management. Experience with government contracts preferred.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing processes.
  • Proficient in project management software, construction scheduling software, and budgeting tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, contract negotiations, and resource planning.
  • Deep knowledge of industry safety standards and quality control processes.
