Job Overview

Hay Creek Hotels is on the lookout for a dedicated and talented Line Cook to become a vital part of our hospitality team.

The Epoch Restaurant & Bar, under the management of Hay Creek Hotels, is a beautifully restored establishment located in a historic area. It features a contemporary, chef-driven dining experience along with unique spaces for meetings and events.

Compensation: $19-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with menu offerings and ensure proper food rotation and timing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to maintain stock levels for menu items.
  • Assist in food preparation, presentation, and service procedures as directed by the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, kitchen area, and storage facilities.
  • Review prep lists and maintain necessary stock levels.
  • Prepare food consistently by adhering to recipes and portion standards.
  • Be aware of food allergies and follow all safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper usage.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of recent culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service dining environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent knife skills.
  • Exhibit a positive, energetic, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
