Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Professional to join our team in North Houston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the residential home building industry, with a salary of up to $43 per hour.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and procure construction materials and services from vendors at the best possible price and quality, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines, while managing supplier relationships and compliance with company standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Evaluate and establish relationships with qualified suppliers for various construction materials, including lumber, appliances, windows, HVAC systems, etc.
  • Conduct price negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Draft and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Analyze market trends, cost fluctuations, and supplier performance data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably within the residential home building industry.
  • Analytical abilities to assess cost data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
  • Understanding of construction project management and relevant building codes.
