Financial Settlement Operations Manager

About the Role:

CORD Financial Services LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Settlement Operations Manager to oversee our settlement and onboarding processes for ATM customers and terminals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Settlement Setup and Reconciliation:
    • Oversight of daily settlement setup processes for all ATMs and operators, ensuring accurate data entry between systems.
    • Discrepancy monitoring and resolution related to incomplete or inaccurate setup.
    • Proper accounting of transaction fees, chargebacks, returns, and network costs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports to track ATM transaction volumes, fees, and settlement outcomes as needed.
    • Reports provided to internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and executive teams.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Point of contact between sponsor banks, atm operators, merchants, and internal stakeholders.
    • Vendor relationships managed to ensure smooth settlement processes across parties.
  • System and Process Optimization:
    • Collaboration with Customer Support Team to improve settlement setup systems and processes where possible.
    • Implementation and maintenance of best practices for settlement setups and reconciliation to ensure accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
    • Efforts led to minimize manual reconciliation processes through automation and technological solutions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Settlement processes comply with applicable regulations, including network, sponsor bank, and financial industry standards.
    • Risks associated with transaction settlement, including fraud detection and prevention measures identified and mitigated.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and card network rules impacting settlement processes.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Leadership and management of a team of settlement specialists, providing guidance and support for efficient performance.
    • Training sessions and workshops conducted to improve team understanding of settlement procedures, systems, and industry changes.
    • Team performance monitored and development opportunities provided to ensure high competence in settlement operations.
Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in ATM operations, financial settlement, payment processing, or a related financial services role.
    • Strong understanding of ATM transaction flows, card network settlement processes, and electronic funds transfer (EFT) systems.
    • Proven experience in managing high-volume financial transactions and reconciliation.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in financial reconciliation and accounting principles.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and resolve complex settlement discrepancies.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners.
    • Proficiency in financial and transaction settlement software; experience with tools like Excel and ERP systems.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearWork Environment:

Office-based with occasional travel to remote offices. Standard business hours, with occasional after-hours work to accommodate settlement cycles and address urgent issues.
