Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this internship is $15.00 per hour, which translates to an annual salary of approximately $31,200 based on a 40-hour workweek and 10-week internship.

Job Description

About the Role:

The WORLD Internship Program is a 10-week program designed to develop a bench of talented professionals who will be able to join us after college graduation.

As a Summer Intern, you will gain an understanding of the insurance industry and the distribution models for insurance products.

You will be placed in one of our following departments for the duration of the summer:

  • Commercial Lines
  • Personal Lines
  • Surety
  • Placement
  • Claims

Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will work alongside our team and help drive the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • You will have the opportunity to learn how World helps clients improve financial performance while protecting them from risk exposure.
  • You will have the opportunity to build a foundation for a solid career in a stable industry with a rapidly growing team.
  • You will develop valuable skills and build a network that will help you launch a successful career.
  • You will support the development of positive relationships with clients and teammates by providing high levels of advocacy, excellent service, and professional communication.
  • You will build valuable skills in creating and presenting business proposals, understanding risk management, and developing time management strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a business program at an accredited university or college and graduating in May 2026 or December 2025.
  • Must be willing to work onsite, M-F between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Prior customer support experience is preferred.
  • Possess strong organization/administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
