About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable and effective Guidewire Project Manager to join our team and work from any Argo office or remotely. This role is anticipated to last 12-18 months and focuses exclusively on the successful migration and rollout of Guidewire in the US Claims Department.

The Guidewire Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Claims Officer located in New York City and oversee the crucial rollout of Guidewire to replace seven existing claims systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage the consolidation of seven different claims systems into Guidewire, becoming the single claims system used globally by all Argo business units.
  • Leverage mastery of technical claims systems knowledge to capitalize on opportunities to put superior processes in place and ensure the best solution for Argo's varied needs.
  • Highlight the fine grains of distinction that separate Argo's business from generic carrier businesses to ensure proper configuration of Guidewire for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Identify and create necessary tools and information to guide users of Guidewire at all levels, ensuring they delight in the new efficiencies of one consolidated claims system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Broad knowledge of professional and commercial coverages, including casualty, property, and professional lines achieved through a minimum of ten years' experience.
  • Advanced technical expertise related to claims negotiation, resolution, and settlement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good business acumen, understanding how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argo Group and customers' ability to be profitable.
  • Independent decision-making skills, taking full responsibility for making decisions while keeping risk and compliance at the center of the process.
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills to evaluate all available information and possible outcomes when making decisions at operational and strategic levels.
  • Ability to build rapport and foster collaborative relationships with business partners and peers, focusing on timely and meaningful exchanges of information and providing value-added solutions.
