Occupational Therapist Job Description

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Golf, Illinois.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support in our healthcare setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with patients to help them develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' physical, perceptual, cognitive, social, and vocational abilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional independence and overall well-being.
  • Provide and/or fabricate assistive devices and/or splints to support patients' daily activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and quality of service.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Intermediate computer skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
